Fed: Nats MP vents anger at US wheat lobby
Former Nationals minister BRUCE SCOTT has suggested Australia launch an investigation
into American and European wheat exports.
JOHN HOWARD is meeting AWB executives this hour to salvage Australian wheat sales to
Iraq .. suspended until the Cole inquiry has finished investigating kickback allegations.
Mr SCOTT says he's angry the US wheat lobby is trying to take Australia's place in
the Iraq market .. he says growers there are among the most heavily subsidised in the
world.
He says they should get their own house in order before they come to Australia trying
to destroy Australian wheat growers.
