Fed: Dairy habits changing - just like the cows

CANBERRA, Feb 27 AAP - Australia's dairy herds are getting larger but fewer in number
while Australians are drinking less milk but eating more cheese.

A snapshot of the nation produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics released today
found not only were our dairy habits changing, but the cows from which out milk comes
are also different.

The Australian dairy herd was originally based upon the Jersey and a range of other
British dairy cattle.
