Vic: State govt to introduce responsible gaming bill
MELBOURNE, Feb 22 AAP - Legislation aimed at tightening Victoria's gaming industry
will be introduced into state parliament this session.
State Gaming Minister John Pandazopoulos said previous legislation had been "too pro-gaming"
as he announced details of the Responsible Gaming Bill.
He said a discussion paper would be launched later this month, explaining the first
stage of reforms under the bill.
The bill will change the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority from being a promoter
of gaming into a semi-judicial organisation …
